March 20th, 2013  by Caroline McGregor    No Comments    Tags: , , ,

If you were at our latest event at Google, you may have heard our network member Teresa Sing share information about FIRST Robotics Canada. Teresa is a mentor and is actively involved in FIRST – an organization dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue studies and careers in science, technology and engineering. They pursue their mission primarily through running robotics competitions for school-age students at the elementary, junior high school and senior high school level.

FRC Team 1325 – Inverse Paradox team1325.com (This is Teresa’s team – if you make it to an event be sure to cheer them on!) will be competing at FRC GTR West on March 28-30 with the webcasts Friday and Saturday. Should you have any inquires or plan to attend any of the events, please let Teresa know and she will arrange students to meet you and show you around.

The team also won the FIRST GTR East Regional tournament in Oshawa earlier this month which qualifies the team to go to the world championships in St. Louis April April 24 – 27!
